We get the opportunity to create heroes that are going to be someone's next favorite, their next main. These heroes are larger than life, with personalities and abilities that millions of players fall in love with.Ĭontributing to such aspirational heroes is what gets me up in the morning. The opportunity came up to work on the heroes of Overwatch, and the rest is history. After a few years at Blizzard, I realized I wanted to focus more on moment-to-moment gameplay. I knew I had to end up here.Įventually, the stars aligned and I was able to accept a position as a game designer on Hearthstone. The first time I played Tracer at Blizzcon, I was blown away. My love for Blizzard grew even more when Overwatch came out. I loved it so much that I started a podcast about the game and even started casting local events. After work and between classes, I was constantly playing Hearthstone. In college, I studied design and worked for a small studio and helped create mobile games. I wanted to be a part of creating experiences that would transport players to different realms and leave a lasting impact on their lives. Games have always made me really happy, and I aspired to share that same joy with others. I fell in love with the imaginative worlds and being able to escape to new places.
